## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Named ordinary passports: advance online tourist visa** (eVisa)
The official Washington Embassy required-country schedule, supplemented for Marshall Islands by the statutory Tourism Organisation's required list, establishes a visitor visa requirement. The Department of Immigration makes the tourist application available online through the official eVisa portal and at missions; it is normalized as an advance eVisa route.
  - Submit the tourism-visa application before travel through the official eVisa portal, or at an Immigration office, Botswana mission or consulate. The Department says online approval/rejection is accessed in the portal.
  - An online-approved traveller may travel with the approval letter as proof of the visa; Immigration prints the visa at the airport or other port of entry. This post-approval printing is not a nationality-wide visa-on-arrival finding.
  - The Government page says the service takes 7–14 working days. A tourism visa is for recreational travel, with a single entry up to one month or multiple entry up to three months; it does not authorize work, residence, business-only, transit, diplomatic, official, service or special-document treatment.
  - The application requires a passport valid at least six months, photographs, covering letter, flight and accommodation itinerary, trip itinerary and intention to depart; a re-entry permit may be required for the country of residence. Approval and admission remain discretionary.
  - Government visitor information caps visitors at 90 days in each calendar year and permits extensions through Immigration. The cited nationality schedules lack effective dates and include obsolete or inconsistent country labels; the eVisa frontend is dated 2021 and did not yield selector evidence. Reconfirm directly with Immigration before travel or promotion.
