  - The 180-day figure is the maximum that migration control may grant to a South American tourist in one year; it is not a guaranteed stay or an authorization for employment or economic activity.
  - The classification rests on the Foreign Ministry's explicit current list of all nationalities for which Ecuador requires a visa, read with the visitor-stay rule. It does not establish national-identity-card use, residence, work, transit, diplomatic, official, emergency, refugee, or other special-document treatment.
  - Entry remains subject to presenting an identity-verifying travel document, migration-control verification of the invoked status, security and admissibility requirements, and any current health or carrier requirements.
