## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Bolivia: Brazilian ordinary passports visa-free** (Visa-free)
The officially promulgated Bolivia–Brazil agreement directly permits nationals of either party to enter the other without a visa and expressly preserves use of an international passport. This is visa-free access, not an ETA, eVisa or visa-on-arrival route.
  - This policy follows the agreement’s direct no-visa entry rule for Brazilian nationals travelling to Bolivia; it is not inferred from Mercosur membership or from a document alternative.
  - The agreement permits the use of an international passport even though it also provides a national-identity-document route.
  - It states a stay of up to 90 days, extendable for another 90 days in a year, for official, tourism or business activities. Other purpose and admission conditions remain outside this ordinary short-visitor baseline.

- **Current official route — Group I ordinary passports: visa-free tourism or visit** (Visa-free)
The live Ministry country API assigns 54 mapped catalog nationalities to Group I. Later official measures override stale API rows for Honduras, Israel, El Salvador, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; the resulting 58 named ordinary passports are visa-free for tourism or visits.
  - The scope is tourism or visit only, without a residence purpose. The source does not establish a nationality-wide ETA, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival requirement for this group.
  - Honduras follows the bilateral tourist/visit visa suppression effective 17 March 2024; El Salvador the ordinary-passport agreement effective 21 June 2024; the Dominican Republic its waiver effective 2 September 2024; and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines its agreement effective 11 November 2021.
  - The 1 December 2025 announcement controls South Korea, South Africa, Bulgaria, Malta, Romania, United Arab Emirates, Israel and United States. The API has not updated Israel and is not followed for that older Group III value.
  - Passport/document validity, identity, admission screening, health evidence where applicable, stay, purpose, extension and other migration conditions remain outside this nationality baseline. Diplomatic, official, service, emergency, refugee, stateless and other special documents are excluded.
