## Evidence timeline

- **May 1, 2023 — Suriname: ordinary passports outside the named 21-country exception visa-free for tourism or family visits** (Visa-free)
The Government established unilateral visa abolition for all foreign nationalities for tourist or family visits, while current Ministry guidance names an exhaustive 21-country exception from 1 May 2023. The remaining catalog foreign ordinary-passport rows are therefore visa-free under that stated general rule and closed exception.
  - This policy applies only to foreign ordinary passports outside the current named 21-country exception and only to tourism or family visits, for a maximum stay of 90 days.
  - The 2022 general rule expressly covered all foreign nationalities; the current Ministry page identifies the precise nationalities for which it ceased to apply from 1 May 2023. No rule is inferred merely from omission.
  - The Entry Fee is a separate fee/voucher mechanism, not an ETA, eVisa, visa on arrival or visa-free exception. The Ministry says its PDF voucher is electronically sent after online payment; that issuance concerns the fee only.
  - Business, internship, work, residence, PSA, transit, diplomatic, service, special, official, international-organization and third-country-document routes are outside this ordinary tourist/family baseline. Final admission and other travel-document requirements are not established here.
