  Bulgaria's MFA says Bulgarian visitors first complete an electronic visa application but receive the visa at Iran's Embassy in Sofia, making this an advance mission-visa route.
  - Applies to ordinary Bulgarian passports; Bulgarian diplomatic and official passport exemptions are outside scope.
  - Complete the electronic visa application, then receive the visa at Iran's Embassy in Sofia before travel. The online form does not itself issue an eVisa.
  - Purpose, Iranian dual nationality, passport-marking restrictions, security, final admission, transit, work, residence and special-document routes remain outside this policy.
