  Government of Canada guidance expressly identifies an online Iraqi visa route before travel for Canadian passport holders.
  - Canadian passport holders travelling by air via Baghdad may obtain the required federal Iraqi visa online before travel; an embassy or consulate route is also stated.
  - Kurdistan requires a separate electronic visa and a distinct Iraqi visa is needed to travel beyond it. This does not classify residence, work, study, transit, special documents, registration, security or final admission.
