- **Current official route — Northern Mariana Islands: PRC CNMI EVS-TAP** (ETA)
  Current 8 CFR 212.1(r) establishes CNMI EVS-TAP as a restricted pre-travel electronic authorization sub-program for PRC nationals, so the short-visitor route is normalized as eta.
  - Before embarking, the PRC national must receive CBP electronic authorization, be a business/pleasure visitor, use an ICAO-compliant PRC machine-readable passport and hold the required round-trip ticket and I-94.
  - Entry and stay are CNMI-only for no more than 14 days; it is neither admission to Guam nor ordinary U.S. entry. No extension or change of status is available; residence, work, transit, crew, parole, diplomatic, official, special-document and final-admission routes are outside this policy.
