# Fiji passport to Seychelles: ETA

## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — All foreign ordinary passports: no visa, mandatory pre-travel ETA and visitor permit on arrival** (ETA)
  Seychelles does not require an entry visa regardless of nationality and issues the Visitor's Permit on arrival, but every foreign ordinary visitor must first obtain a Travel Authorisation/ETA before departure. The mandatory pre-travel authorization is normalized as eta.
  - Seychelles' Immigration guidance expressly distinguishes a no-visa system from the mandatory pre-departure Electronic Travel Authorisation. For this repository's access taxonomy, the live mandatory ETA is the operative entry status and supersedes an otherwise visa_free label; it does not turn the Visitor's Permit into a visa on arrival or an eVisa.
  - The Visitor's Permit is issued on arrival, initially for up to three months and free for that first period. It may be extended in successive periods of up to three months to a maximum of twelve months if the visitor continues to meet the conditions; each extension costs SCR 5,000.
  - A visitor must not be a prohibited immigrant or already hold a permit entitling residence; must have a valid return/onward ticket, confirmed accommodation and sufficient funds. Immigration's general entry guidance states a minimum of US$150 or equivalent per day.
  - The visitor route covers holiday, pleasure, business, and visits to friends/family. It does not permit paid or unpaid full-time or part-time work by a non-Seychellois; a Gainful Occupation Permit is separate. Residence, student, dependant, international-trade-zone, crew, maritime, diplomatic, transit, refugee, alien-document, laissez-passer, and other special-document cases are not established by this ordinary visitor policy.
  - A valid passport or other Seychelles-recognised travel document is required and must remain valid through the intended stay and return to the country of origin/residence. A yellow-fever certificate is required only for a traveller resident in, recently visiting, or transiting more than 12 hours through a listed endemic-risk country.
  - Use the Seychelles e-Border app or seychelles.govtas.com before departure. The current portal permits a Travel Authorisation application within 30 days of scheduled arrival and requires the passport page, traveller photo, trip information, health/customs answers and payment; permit holders additionally upload the applicable permit.
  - Official government pages publish inconsistent standard TA fee/application-window wording: Tourism Seychelles states €10, while MFA states EUR 10.90 and says up to 10 days before flight. Treat the live official portal checkout and current carrier instructions as controlling for price and timing; neither discrepancy changes the mandatory-ETA status.

## How to apply

Follow the current instructions on the official portal.

1. Apply through the government-linked Seychelles e-Border app or seychelles.govtas.com before departure.
2. Upload the passport page and traveller photo, provide trip and required health/customs information, upload supporting trip/permit information, and pay the applicable charge.
3. Travel only with a valid authorization and present the return/onward ticket, accommodation and financial evidence needed for the Visitor's Permit on arrival.
