- **May 26, 2025 — EU ordinary passports: visa waiver plus eTA** (ETA)
  The in-force bilateral agreement waives visas for ordinary passports of all current EU Member States except Ireland; the current eTA remains mandatory.
  - The bilateral agreement applies to a valid ordinary passport and a non-paid visit of at most three months in a six-month period.
  - It defines Member State as every EU Member State except Ireland; this current scope includes Croatia and excludes no other current member.
  - An approved eTA is required before travel under the operational eTA system; admission remains discretionary and the eTA is not an eVisa.
