## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Kosovo ordinary passports: Chile prior transient-stay visa** (Visa required)
Chile's current 6 March 2026 transient-stay table expressly marks Kosovo [12] ‘SI’ in response to whether a visa is required. Chile's consular process requires application before travel and delivers an approved visa electronically for presentation with the current travel document.
  - The current table's Kosovo row is ‘KOSOVO [12] SI’, under the heading ‘¿REQUIERE VISA DE PERMANENCIA TRANSITORIA?’, with a maximum 90-day stay shown for simple and multiple visas.
  - Footnote [12] says Chile does not recognise the Republic of Kosovo as a subject of international law; the same table nevertheless expressly assigns the Kosovo row the prior-visa result.
  - The traveler applies through Chile's online Consular Services, uploads the current passport's personal-data page and other required documents, and is notified whether the application is approved or refused.
  - After approval and payment instructions, the consulate sends the visa electronically; the traveler must print it and carry it with a valid travel document at entry. Final admission remains subject to Chilean immigration control.
  - Work, residence, diplomatic, official, service, transit, invitation, third-country-document and other special routes remain outside this ordinary short-visitor classification.
