# Malawi passport to Cambodia: eVisa

## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Malawian ordinary passports: Cambodia electronic tourist visa** (eVisa)
  Cambodia's current official eVisa service provides a pre-departure Tourist Visa T route to an ordinary Malawian passport holder; Malawi is absent from the service's current closed visa-exemption group.
  - Use a Malawian ordinary passport valid for more than six months, a recent digital photo and a valid payment card. Tourist Visa T is single entry, valid for three months and permits one month stay.
  - Apply and pay online, then receive the approved eVisa by email within the stated three business days and present it at an eVisa-accepting entry port. This is electronic issuance before travel, not visa on arrival.
  - The current temporary Chinese passport exemption does not apply to a Malawian ordinary passport. Work, residence, special passports, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.

## How to apply

Follow the current instructions on the official portal.

1. Apply online with the Malawian ordinary passport, photo and payment card.
2. Pay and obtain the approved eVisa by email before travel.
3. Enter through an eVisa-accepting port and complete the separate Cambodia e-Arrival requirement.
