- **Current official route — Bhutan: Bangladeshi and Maldivian ordinary passports with visa on arrival** (Visa on arrival)
  The Department of Immigration expressly names Bangladesh and the Maldives as eligible for visas on arrival.
  - The Tourism authority says these visitors require a visa, but use the Indian permit-process workflow; that workflow does not convert their express arrival-issued visa into visa-free admission.
  - Tourist stay is stated as a maximum of 90 days. A Sustainable Development Fee applies; the tourism authority states USD 100 per adult per day, while the immigration FAQ describes the underlying USD 200 rate and its USD 100 incentive through 31 August 2027.
  - The authority retains admission discretion at the port of entry. Passport validity, fee, SDF, extension, funds, tour, health, security and individual-admissibility requirements remain applicable.
  - Does not decide SAARC Visa Exemption Sticker holders, or diplomatic, official, service, residence, work, study, transit, crew, special-document or case-specific rules.
