## Five years within nine

Normally five years of reckonable legal residence in the last nine, including the continuous year immediately before applying.

## Final-year absences

The guide allows 70 days away in the final year, with up to 30 more only for exceptional circumstances accepted by the Minister.

## Reckonable permission
