  FSM Embassy entry guidance states a destination-wide rule: a permit is not required for a person visiting the FSM for 30 days or less. This policy records that direct universal short-visit rule outside the separately evidenced EU treaty cohort.
  - This is a direct universal rule for a person visiting for 30 days or less, not a nationality complement inferred from omission or an application form.
  - For a visit exceeding 30 days, the Embassy guidance requires an entry permit. The resulting longer-visit process is not normalized here as an eVisa, ETA or visa on arrival.
  - The Embassy guidance requires a passport valid for at least 120 days after entry and completion of the FSM Immigration Arrival and Departure Record on arrival where the visitor has no valid entry permit. The arrival record is a declaration, not an ETA or visa.
  - The separate longer-visit treatment stated for United States, Marshall Islands and Palau citizens/nationals does not change the direct permit-free classification for an ordinary short visit of 30 days or less.
  - This policy does not decide employment, residence, business or contract work beyond the ordinary short tourist visit; it also does not decide passport/document acceptance, diplomatic, official, service, special-passport, transit, crew, health or individual-admissibility cases.
