## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Albania: named ordinary passports requiring a Type C visa, available as an electronic visa** (eVisa)
MEFA's current selector marks this named ordinary-national-passport cohort WITH VISA for Type C and links the official eVisa service. The official service permits selection of an electronic visa and, when approved, generates and emails it before travel; this is an eVisa rather than an ETA, visa on arrival or mere online authorization.
  - The applicant must be outside Albania, use the travel document registered in the application, complete the online process and obtain approval before travel. If approved, the electronic visa is generated and emailed; it must be held at the border crossing point.
  - The official service also offers a stamped-visa option. This policy records the available electronically issued visa as the normalized, easier ordinary-passport route, not an assertion that every applicant must choose it.
  - A used multiple-entry Schengen, EU, US or UK visa/residence permit, UAE ten-year residence permit, Schengen visa-free status and named EU travel documents can create conditional visa-free entry; those document/residence routes do not change this nationality baseline.
  - Visitor Type C is up to 90 days in 180 days. Work, residence, transit, diplomatic/service, special passport, sanctions, passport-validity and discretionary admission rules are outside this baseline; visa approval does not guarantee admission.
