# Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) passport to Trinidad and Tobago: eVisa

## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Explicitly named ordinary passports: electronic visitor visa required** (eVisa)
  The current Foreign Ministry visa instructions directly identify these nationalities as requiring a visa, and state that all Trinidad and Tobago entry visas are electronic; they are normalized as eVisa.
  - China, Taiwan, Cuba, North Korea, and Vietnam are expressly named in the current instructions' visa-required applicant cohort; Venezuela is expressly stated to require a visa for entry. The regional references to Asian, African, Middle-East and Far-East countries are not used to infer any additional code.
  - The Immigration Division eVisa service is for eligible foreign nationals from visa-required countries. Applicants need a passport valid at least six months, email address, digital photograph, supporting PDFs, and a Visa or Mastercard; approval is sent by email.
  - The official portal currently lists a TTD 800 multiple-entry eVisa fee, while ttconnect describes a TTD 400 fee. This official fee discrepancy is unresolved and does not alter the eVisa classification.
  - Bona fide operating aircraft or seagoing-vessel crew do not require a visa regardless of nationality; that occupation-specific exception is not a nationality-wide ordinary visitor rule. Possession of an eVisa does not guarantee admission.
  - This does not establish work, residence, student, transit, diplomatic, official, service, emergency, refugee, or other special-document treatment.
  - From 17 March 2026, all persons entering or leaving Trinidad and Tobago must complete the free online Arrival/Departure Card before travel (up to 72 hours) and present its QR-code receipt. This is a travel declaration, not a visa, ETA, or entry guarantee.

## How to apply

Follow the current instructions on the official portal.

1. Confirm that the passport nationality is subject to a visa requirement and meets the online-service eligibility screening.
2. Prepare the required passport, digital photograph, supporting documents, email address, and payment card.
3. Apply through the Immigration Division eVisa portal, receive the approved eVisa by email, print it, and present it with the Arrival/Departure Card receipt to border officers.
