## Evidence timeline

- **Current official route — Macao: non-exempt ordinary passports eligible for border-issued Entry Permit** (Visa on arrival)
  For these foreign ordinary passports, the current Public Security Police rule supplies an Entry Permit, expressly called visa-upon-arrival, at any border checkpoint; the six expressly advance-visa nationalities and document-specific China/Hong Kong/Macao cases are excluded.
  - The Entry Permit is an Authorization to Enter and Stay, explicitly described by the PSP as visa-upon-arrival, requested at any Border Control Department checkpoint. It is classified as visa on arrival, not eVisa or visa-free.
  - Once approved, the visitor Authorization to Stay is a maximum of 30 days; the current listed individual fee is MOP200 one-off or MOP300 multiple, with stated alternative fees for family passports, children and qualifying groups.
  - A passport must be valid at least 90 days beyond intended stay. Onward/return arrangements, means of subsistence, security/admissibility and entry-refusal grounds remain applicable; advance authorization or a Macao visa are alternative procedures, not a nationality-wide electronic route.
  - This policy excludes Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, which the PSP expressly requires to obtain an advance Macao visa; it also does not flatten Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao passport/document arrangements.
