Costa Rica: 2025 first and second group ordinary passports visa-free
Resolution AJ-484-11-2025 expressly places these nationalities in the first or second visa-free group. Only catalog country codes are mapped; territory/dependency wording conditioned on another country’s passport is not expanded.
- First-group admission is up to 180 days non-extendable, subject to the stated limited extension rule; second-group admission is up to 30 days, extendable up to 90.
- First-group passports require the directive’s stated validity; second-group passports require at least 90 days. Honduras has a police-certificate condition; Salvador and Russia have their expressly stated special rules.
- Machine-readable/biometric document, funds, return/onward ticket and admission controls apply. No residence, work, transit, crew, diplomatic, official/service, special-document or individual treatment is established.
