Listed ordinary passports have up to 90 days' visa-exempt access to Taiwan
BOCA lists these nationalities for visa-exempt ordinary short visits of up to 90 days.
- This ordinary-passport classification does not establish emergency, temporary, refugee, stateless, residence, transit, work, diplomatic, official, service, or other special-document treatment.
- A passport normally needs at least six months' validity, plus return or onward travel; United States and Japanese passports need validity for the intended stay.
- Only United Kingdom passports with British Citizen status qualify. BOCA also states nationality, place-of-birth, and passport-specific conditions for Eswatini, Honduras, the Marshall Islands, North Macedonia, Tuvalu, and certain other passports.
- The stay normally cannot be extended or converted, does not authorize permit-required activity, and remains subject to immigration admissibility and the Taiwan Arrival Card.
