Named ordinary passports: short visitor visa exemption
The Foreign Ministry's current country schedule expressly exempts these ordinary passports for the stated short tourist, business, transit, or general-visit period.
- The Ministry gives country-specific periods: most are 90 days in 180 days, while Belarus, Brunei, Costa Rica, Indonesia, Mongolia, Russia, Thailand, Venezuela, and Macao have expressly different limits. China is expressly effective from 2026-01-02.
- Where the schedule says tourism, business, transit, or tourist purpose, that stated purpose limitation remains. Work, study, residence, documentary filming, research, excavation, truck-driver, crew, diplomatic, official, and special-document regimes are not flattened into this policy.
- The Law's general maximum is 90 days in 180 days unless the applicable exemption states otherwise. A passport or travel document normally must remain valid 60 days beyond the authorised stay, and a visa exemption does not remove admissibility or entry-ban checks.
