Annex I ordinary passports: advance visa required for Monaco short visit

For a short visit, Monaco applies the French foreigner-entry regime. These passports require the applicable French/Schengen advance visa; a visa valid for France is valid in Monaco.

    • This is the French/Schengen advance-visa requirement carried into Monaco's short-stay foreigner regime, not a separately issued Monegasque visitor visa. Visas valid for France are valid in Monaco.
    • The Monaco visit is under three months. The French/Schengen access leg follows its short-stay rules; residence permits, long-stay visas and special documents are not flattened into this baseline.
    • The source law provides distinct rules for stays over three months and Monegasque residence permits; those are not visitor-visa waivers. ETIAS is not operating and no Monegasque eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival route is established by the reviewed official sources.
