    Non-exempt ordinary passports: advance visitor visa

    None of these ordinary-passport nationalities appears in the current Visa Exemption Order 2023 schedule. Kiribati Immigration expressly requires non-exempt visitors to apply in advance.

    • The Order applies its named nationality waiver to ordinary/normal, official/service, and diplomatic ICAO-compliant passports or travel documents. None of this residual ordinary-passport cohort is named, so no listed-document waiver is carried into this baseline; it does not establish special-document treatment.
    • The current Immigration page requires a passport valid at least six months beyond departure, confirmed onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds.
    • Visitor-visa processing is an advance route: download the Visitor Visa Application Form, email it with scanned documents to visaofficer@mfa.gov.ki, then follow the visa officer's payment instructions. It is not an eVisa or an unrestricted visa on arrival.

  2. Email the completed form and scanned supporting documents to visaofficer@mfa.gov.ki.
  3. Follow the visa officer's instructions for secure electronic payment before travel.
