How this access rule is documented

  1. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Canadian ordinary passports: Côte d’Ivoire preapproved arrival visitor visa

Canada's current Canadian-specific guidance says the visa is issued at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport after pre-enrolment and authority approval before boarding.

    • Complete online pre-enrolment and obtain both the receipt and certificate of authority approval before boarding for Abidjan.
    • The visa is issued at the airport after that preapproval, so this is border issuance rather than an eVisa. ECOWAS, residence, work, transit, diplomatic and special-document routes remain separate.
