   Nicaragua: named Category C ordinary passports require advance consulted visa

   The current official CA-4 AIP schedule expressly marks these ordinary passports Category C (consulted visa). It is an advance-authorization and consular route, normalized as visa_required rather than eVisa, ETA or visa on arrival.

   • The AIP requires the traveller or sponsor to request a Directorate-General of Migration and Foreigners endorsement through the relevant consulate before entry.
   • The migration digest assigns consulted visas for restricted-country nationals to the Directorate General of Migration and Foreigners; consular offices transmit applications and notification follows its decision.
   • The cited law gives consulted visas a 30-day validity and allows extension up to 90 days, except five-day transit visas; the actual visitor purpose, grant and admission remain case-specific.
   • Residence, work, study, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless, territorial and third-country-document routes are excluded.
