Category A ordinary passports: Senegal visa exemption
Senegal's current detailed consular schedule places these ordinary passports in Category A or its reciprocal visa-exemption arrangements. ECOWAS and temporary AES movement rules directly support the Community portion, while the schedule names the five additional ordinary-passport reciprocal exemptions.
- For Community citizens, the ECOWAS Protocol requires a valid travel document and international health certificate, permits a short visit of up to 90 days through an official entry point, and preserves Senegal's right to refuse an inadmissible immigrant.
- BF, ML and NE are the AES States. The current detailed Category A schedule expressly continues their visa exemption until further notice; the remaining mapped Community passports are covered by the Category A schedule.
- The current consular schedule separately names CF, CG, MA, MU and TN as ordinary reciprocal visa-exemption countries. It requires a valid passport, repatriation guarantee/return or onward ticket, and health certificate as applicable.
- The 2026 Foreign Ministry health notice says the vaccination card is not mandatory for entrants not arriving from epidemic/endemic-country situations; changing public-health controls may still apply.
- This excludes residence, employment, study, transit, refugee status, diplomatic, service, official and mission-based document treatment. Official passports and ordinary passports on official mission have distinct conditional exemptions.
