Egypt eVisa-eligible ordinary passports: visa at port of arrival

Egypt's eVisa portal lists this ordinary-passport cohort for electronic applications. The Ministry of Interior's port-visa schedule says that, in addition to its separately named countries, all countries previously listed in the eVisa system receive an emergency entry visa at ports of arrival. Under the easiest-access taxonomy, the nationality-wide port route is normalized as visa_on_arrival; eVisa remains an online alternative.

    • The Ministry of Interior's arrival list expressly adds all countries previously listed in the eVisa system. This policy chooses the arrival-issued visa as the easier available nationality-wide route; it does not erase the official eVisa alternative.
    • The eVisa portal describes online issuance for tourism, single or multiple entry, and requires a passport valid at least six months from arrival, the printed eVisa, itinerary and relevant hotel or visit evidence. Border officers can refuse entry even with an eVisa.
    • Canada's port-arrival route is independently confirmed by the Foreign Ministry as effective from 1 December 2024; the same announcement says the eVisa option was reactivated.
    • Purpose-specific, work, residence, study, transit, Sinai-only, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, stateless, travel-document, security and individual-admissibility rules are outside this ordinary tourist baseline.
