Official evidence timeline

One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

  1. Visa-free

Cambodia: temporary PRC, HKSAR and Macao tourist visa exemption

The current official eVisa announcement temporarily exempts PRC, HKSAR and Macao passport holders from Tourist Visa T for stays up to 14 days.

    • The announcement applies to Chinese citizens holding PRC passports, including Hong Kong and Macao SAR passports, regardless of departure point; it permits multiple entries of up to 14 days each in the stated period.
    • The exemption concerns Tourist Visa T only. It does not establish work, residence, ordinary/business Visa E, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, alien or other special-document rights.
    • Cambodia e-Arrival remains an arrival declaration, not an ETA or visa; the official temporary-exemption notice requires its completion before entry.
    • This time-limited measure expires after 15 October 2026 unless Cambodia officially extends or replaces it. Admission remains discretionary.
    3 passport nationalities covered

China, Hong Kong (SAR China), Macao (SAR China)

  2. Current official routeVisa-free

Cambodia: named ASEAN ordinary passports visa-exempt

Cambodia’s current official eVisa tourist information expressly lists these nationalities in its visa-exemption cohort.

    • The official eVisa information names this visa-exemption cohort but does not state a common stay period. Current bilateral and arrival-service material contains nationality-specific duration data; confirm the applicable duration and entry conditions with Immigration before travel.
    • This is an ordinary-passport visitor finding only. It does not determine work, residence, extensions, repeated entries, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, alien or other special-document treatment.
    • Cambodia e-Arrival is an immigration, health and customs declaration. It is not an ETA or visa and does not turn this visa-free policy into an ETA. The current eVisa page calls it required, while GDI says it can be submitted within seven days before or on arrival.
    • Admission, passport validity, available ports, public-health, security and immigration-officer assessment remain separate requirements.
    9 passport nationalities covered

Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam

  3. Current official routeVisa required

Ten named ordinary passports: Cambodia advance Tourist Visa T

The live Cambodian Embassy visitor page expressly requires these named ordinary passport holders to obtain an entry visa before departure.

    • The named list is Afghanistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Nigeria. This is an advance-visa classification, not an eVisa or visa-on-arrival finding.
    • The page was live-rechecked on 22 August 2026, but other sections still contain explicitly transitional 2024 e-Arrival wording and a dated 2023 exemption image. No current dated central nationality schedule was re-openable; retain this named rule at medium confidence and recheck before promotion or travel.
    • Tourist Visa T is described as single entry, valid for three months from issue, permits a 30-day stay and cannot be used for employment. The page requires a passport valid at least six months after departure from Cambodia; issuance and admission remain discretionary.
    • This ordinary-passport visitor finding does not establish Visa E/business, residence, extensions, repeated entry, transit, diplomatic, official, service, courtesy, K-visa/Khmer-origin, refugee, alien or other special-document treatment.
    10 passport nationalities covered

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Algeria, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Sri Lanka

  4. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Australian ordinary passports: specified tourist visas on arrival

Current guidance expressly makes an arrival-issued tourist visa available to Australian ordinary-passport visitors.

    • BD: Bangladesh's mission guidance names Australian nationals for the conditional tourism visa-on-arrival route, normally a maximum 30-day single entry; officer satisfaction and supporting-document requirements apply.
    • KH: tourist visas on arrival are valid for 30 days; the e-visa is an alternative route, not a reason to classify the visitor baseline as electronic-only.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Australia

  5. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Irish ordinary passports: expressly available visitor visas on arrival

Current Irish DFA guidance expressly describes a border-issued visitor visa route for each listed destination.

    • DJ: a tourist visa may be purchased on arrival for cash in USD. KM: a visa is available at Hahaya airport or other points of entry for the stated fee.
    • KH: a tourist visa is available at the Cambodian border; two passport photographs and USD payment are stated, and the tourist visa is stated as one month with one possible one-month extension.
    • Cambodia also offers a tourist e-Visa, but the expressly available arrival-issued route is the status recorded for this pair. Final-admission, entry-point, purpose, document and health conditions remain applicable.

    Ireland

  6. Current official routeVisa on arrival

German ordinary passports: named visitor visas issued at arrival

The Federal Foreign Office expressly identifies a border-issued short-visitor route for each listed German ordinary-passport destination.

    • DJ: a visa can be applied for at entry. KM: tourist visa is issued on arrival at Grande Comore international airport. TM: airport issuance requires a pre-issued Turkmen Migration Service visa approval/invitation. CI: prior online application is followed by issuance at entry. GW: airport visa is available for 30 days; land-border issuance is unavailable. BD: normally available for tourism or business up to 30 days at Dhaka international airport, subject to listed documents. KH: tourist visa is available on arrival at all international border crossings.
    • TM and CI are classified as visa_on_arrival because the visa itself is issued at the border after pre-approval, not because of their online or pre-travel steps. This excludes special documents, work, residence and final admission.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Germany

  7. Current official routeVisa-free

Singapore ordinary passports: named visa-free short visits

Current Singapore MFA destination guidance expressly records visa-free ordinary Singapore-passport visitor access for these destinations.

    • BA: up to 90 days within six months and no employment; KH: tourists up to 30 days; TN: up to 90 days; PA: up to 90 days; CU: up to 30 days; XK: visit or transit up to 90 days within six months.
    • KH e-Arrival is an immigration, health and customs declaration, not an ETA or visa. PA, CU and all other entries remain subject to passport, health, funds, onward-travel, security, carrier and final-admission conditions.
    • This is an ordinary Singapore-passport short-visitor baseline and excludes work, residence, extensions, special documents and individual admissibility.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Singapore

  8. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Japanese ordinary passports: expressly available arrival-issued visitor visas

Japan MOFA expressly describes border issuance for the listed Japanese ordinary-passport routes.

    • KM: arrival-airport issuance is available to direct arrivals from Japan and other countries without a Comoros overseas mission.
    • CI: online application and payment yield an authorization; the visa itself is obtained at Abidjan airport, so it is classified as visa on arrival rather than eVisa.
    • KH: visas are available on arrival at major airports and land borders. Cambodia also provides an eVisa route, but the expressly stated arrival route is the status recorded.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Japan

  9. Current official routeVisa on arrival

French ordinary passports: named visitor visas issued at arrival

Official guidance identifies a border-issued visitor visa route for each listed French ordinary-passport destination.

    • DJ: a one-month visa can be obtained at entry, though France Diplomatie also lists a short-stay e-visa route. KM: visa at Moroni airport. TM: airport or port issuance requires the national migration service invitation. GA: obtain the DGDI travel-authorisation receipt before flying to Libreville Léon-Mba airport; the visa sticker and payment occur on arrival. CI: online registration and payment precede visa issuance at Abidjan airport. BD: eligible travellers apply online before departure and receive the visa at arrival for up to 30 days. KH: tourist visas are available directly at all international air, land, sea and river borders.
    • GA, TM, CI and BD are visa_on_arrival because the visa itself is issued at the border after an online or pre-authorisation step. This excludes final admission and route-specific exclusions.

    France

  10. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Dutch ordinary passports: expressly available visitor visas on arrival

Current Dutch Foreign Ministry guidance expressly describes a border-issued visitor-visa route for each listed destination.

    • TM: border-checkpoint issuance requires a prior Invitation Letter from the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan; tourists obtain that invitation through a Turkmen travel agency. Document, entry-point and final-admission conditions remain applicable.
    • KH: Dutch guidance expressly allows a tourist visa to be requested on arrival; Cambodia also offers a government online route, but the available border-issued route is recorded here.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Netherlands

  11. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Taiwan ordinary passports: named visa-on-arrival short visits

Taiwan MOFA BOCA's current outbound schedule identifies these destinations as issuing visas at arrival to Taiwanese travellers, including stated pre-clearance routes.

    • BY, IR and UZ require the schedule's stated pre-clearance before a visa is issued on arrival; online pre-clearance followed by border issuance is normalized as visa_on_arrival.
    • CI requires online registration, fee payment and an emailed approval code before the visa is issued at Abidjan airport; it is therefore arrival issuance, not an eVisa under this taxonomy.
    • LR: apply online, then present the approval QR code at Roberts International Airport for biometric collection and the visa sticker. The Liberia Immigration Service directs applicants in a country with a Liberian embassy to that mission instead.
    • This does not establish work, residence, non-visitor, transit-only, special-document, carrier, health, funds or final-admission treatment.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Taiwan (Chinese Taipei)

  12. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Italian ordinary passports: named visitor visas issued at arrival

Current Italian MFA destination guidance expressly identifies these border-issued visitor visa routes for Italian ordinary passports.

    • KM: apply directly at arrival in the airport and collect the visa from local immigration offices; approximately EUR30 for one month. KH: short tourist visas can be obtained on arrival at international airports; an optional pre-departure online route also exists.
    • CI: before departure, obtain the D.S.T.-approved e-mail authorisation and carry the approved pre-registration, passport, yellow-fever certificate and payment receipt; biometric registration and visa printing/issuance occur at Abidjan airport. TM: a local tourist agency invitation and State Migration Service entry authorisation must be positively completed before a visa is issued at the airport or border. Work, residence, transit, special documents, carrier controls and final admission remain separate.

  13. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Republic of Korea ordinary passports: named visitor visas issued at arrival

Current Korea MOFA destination guidance expressly identifies border-issued ordinary Korean-passport visitor visas.

    • KM: a 45-day visa is issued on arrival on production of a valid passport, return ticket and accommodation evidence. KH: ordinary passport holders can obtain a tourist visa at airport and land borders for one month.
    • Cambodia also offers an eVisa but that optional advance alternative does not displace its ordinary Korean-passport arrival-visa route. Work, residence, transit, special documents, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    South Korea

  14. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Swedish ordinary passports: named visitor visas issued at arrival

Current Swedish or destination-authority guidance expressly identifies these border-issued visitor visa routes.

    • KM: obtain the visa on arrival at Prince Said Ibrahim International Airport. KH: a Swedish tourist may obtain the visa online or at arrival; this policy records the available arrival route.
    • CI: online pre-enrolment, approval and payment are required before boarding; complete biometric enrolment at Abidjan airport, where the visa is printed and issued. This is preapproval followed by border issuance, not an eVisa. Work, residence, special documents, transit, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Sweden

  15. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Danish ordinary passports: Bangladesh and Cambodia visitor visas issued at arrival

Current Danish Foreign Ministry guidance expressly identifies visitor visa-on-arrival routes for Danish citizens in Bangladesh and Cambodia.

    • BD: obtain online approval before travel, then the visa at arrival; this is preapproval followed by border issuance, not an eVisa. The Danish guidance states a maximum 90-day stay. KH: a tourist visa can be obtained at arrival, for a maximum 30-day stay.
    • Work, residence, special passports, transit, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Denmark

  16. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Norwegian ordinary passports: Bangladesh and Cambodia visitor visas issued at arrival

Current Norwegian Foreign Ministry guidance expressly identifies visitor visa-on-arrival routes for Norwegian citizens in Bangladesh and Cambodia.

    • BD: Norwegian citizens may apply for a 30-day visa on arrival. KH: a tourist may obtain a visa at arrival; the same guidance also offers a separate online route.
    • Work, residence, special passports, transit, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Norway

  17. Current official routeeVisa

Moldovan ordinary passports: named electronic visitor visas

Moldova MFA's current ordinary-passport table records eVisa as the obtaining method for these destinations; Nigeria independently confirms its tourism eVisa is open to citizens of all countries and sent by email.

    • Obtain the electronic visitor visa before departure using the destination portal linked by Moldova MFA. Nigeria's tourism eVisa is specifically available to citizens of all countries and issues a certificate by email.
    • Cuba's listed eVisa route excludes maritime travel, for which Moldova MFA says a diplomatic mission is required. Purpose, duration, availability, closure, carrier checks and final admission remain separate.

  18. Current official routeeVisa

Malawian ordinary passports: Cambodia electronic tourist visa

Cambodia's current official eVisa service provides a pre-departure Tourist Visa T route to an ordinary Malawian passport holder; Malawi is absent from the service's current closed visa-exemption group.

    • Use a Malawian ordinary passport valid for more than six months, a recent digital photo and a valid payment card. Tourist Visa T is single entry, valid for three months and permits one month stay.
    • Apply and pay online, then receive the approved eVisa by email within the stated three business days and present it at an eVisa-accepting entry port. This is electronic issuance before travel, not visa on arrival.
    • The current temporary Chinese passport exemption does not apply to a Malawian ordinary passport. Work, residence, special passports, carrier rules and final admission remain separate.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Malawi

  19. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Cambodia: expressly supported residual ordinary-passport Tourist Visa T on arrival

For the currently unsupported ordinary-passport cohort below, Cambodia's current official Embassy guidance establishes issuance of a visitor visa directly on arrival rather than relying on eVisa-portal universality.

    • The Embassy page says a traveler without an entry visa can obtain the visa directly on arrival, which establishes issuance timing at the airport, listed land posts or listed sea ports; the live GDI e-Arrival service also identifies Electronic Visa On Arrival as a current service component. This is not an inference from an eVisa selector or application portal.
    • The same Embassy page expressly requires Afghanistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Nigeria to obtain a visa before departure. Those ten passports are excluded from this residual cohort and are assigned by the carried prior-visa policy.
    • The Embassy page was live-rechecked on 22 August 2026 but contains other stale material, including explicitly transitional 2024 e-Arrival wording and a 2023 exemption image. Neither live GDI nor re-openable MFA/eVisa material supplied a current exhaustive nationality schedule; this confined residual cohort remains medium confidence and requires rechecking.
    • The traveler must present a passport valid at least six months, a return or onward ticket and a recent photograph, and complete the form on site. Some carriers may require an entry visa before boarding.
    • This is a Tourist Visa T visitor-route finding only. It does not establish work, residence, extensions, repeated-entry, transit, diplomatic, official, service, refugee, alien or other special-document treatment.
    • The GDI arrival service corroborates the current existence of electronic VOA processing but does not by itself establish nationality eligibility. Cambodia e-Arrival is not classified as an ETA; admission remains subject to Cambodian immigration and carrier requirements.

Seychelles' live Foreign Ministry waiver table expressly identifies these destinations as not requiring a visa for Seychellois passport holders and supplies the listed stay limits.

    • The source lists Bangladesh for one to three months; Cambodia for two weeks; North Macedonia for 90 to 180 days; and Cabo Verde for 60 days.
    • It lists Comoros, Sierra Leone, Tunisia and Solomon Islands for one to three months; Côte d'Ivoire and Djibouti for 30 days; and Grenada for 90 days.

The current Maldivian MFA guidance says the bilateral Cambodian visa exemption took effect on 4 May 2023 and covers ordinary passports for up to 30 days.

    • Applies to a valid Maldivian ordinary passport for entry, transit, stay and departure of no more than 30 days from entry.
    • A longer stay, work, study or business requires an appropriate visa before travel.
    • Final immigration admission and ordinary entry-document requirements remain applicable.
