    Kenyan and Djiboutian ordinary passports: Ethiopia visa-free tourist entry

    The live official eVisa arrival page expressly says Kenyan and Djiboutian citizens holding a valid passport can enter Ethiopia without a visa. This narrower express exemption takes precedence over those codes also appearing in the mutable arrival table.

    • The page requires a valid passport. It does not state a stay limit, entry count, operating port, fee, onward-ticket, funds, accommodation, vaccination or extension rule for this exemption.
    • This finding is limited to the named ordinary-passport visitor nationality rule. It does not decide African Union, diplomatic, official, service, residence, work, business, transit, Ethiopian-origin card, refugee, special-document or individual-admissibility treatment.

    • This is the official portal's current named tourist Visa-on-Arrival schedule. It does not state a universal visa-on-arrival duration, fee, passport-validity, onward-ticket, funds, accommodation, vaccination, extension, transit or work rule.
    • The live direct source does not identify the operating port or expressly confirm Addis Ababa Bole Airport. Accordingly this candidate records a route-limited arrival authorization but does not generalize it to every Ethiopian border or airport.
    • The current eVisa general information says entry officers may deny admission. Residence, business, employment, conference, study, transit, diplomatic, official, service, Ethiopian-origin and other special-document routes are outside this baseline.

    The official Tourist Visa page expressly makes citizens of all countries eligible and calls the visitor authorization an electronic single-entry visa. The named visa-free and visa-on-arrival cohorts are removed because they have an easier direct route; the remaining ordinary passports are therefore evisa, not an inferred consular-visa complement.

    • This is tourism or other non-business travel only. It is electronic and single-entry; the official page lists 30-day and 90-day maximum-duration products, and says normal processing is three days with application at least three days before expected arrival.
    • A recent passport photo and a passport valid at least six months from intended entry are stated requirements. The official guidance gives fees of USD 62 for 30 days and USD 152 for 90 days, with later extension procedures and overstay penalties.
    • The portal's global eligibility statement is explicit. Separately, it says it does not accept credit-card transactions from AF, CU, IQ, SD, SY and YE (as well as three codes already covered by the easier arrival schedule). This is retained as a material payment/access condition rather than silently reclassifying the passports as advance-visa or unresolved.
    • The portal says entry may be refused even to an eVisa holder. This baseline does not decide business, work, residence, transit, diplomatic, official, service, Ethiopian-origin, refugee, special-document, health or case-specific security/admissibility rules.

    Ethiopian citizens: constitutional right to return

    The Constitution directly grants Ethiopian nationals the right to return to Ethiopia, so the same-country ordinary-passport pair is not classified under the foreign tourist visa system.
