    East African Partner State citizens are ETA-exempt

    Citizens of the six named East African Partner States are exempt from Kenya's ETA requirement.

    • The exemption applies for stays not exceeding 180 days.
    • This visitor-access classification does not establish residence, work, or special-document rights.

    Listed nationals are ETA-exempt for up to 90 days

    Kenya's current official guidance exempts the listed nationalities from ETA for stays not exceeding 90 days.

    • The Gazette contains apparent country-name and duration typographical errors; the current operational list is used where it resolves them.

    Other ordinary-passport visitors require a Kenya ETA

    Visitors outside the official nationality and document exemptions must obtain an approved electronic travel authorisation before beginning their journey.

    • An ETA is not final authority to enter Kenya.
    • Separate exemptions apply to qualifying permit, re-entry, transit, crew, laissez-passer, diplomatic, official, service, special-passport, and British-military travellers.
    • Saint Kitts and Nevis remains excluded from this policy pending an official correction of the published name 'St. Kitts and Navis'.
