    PRC ordinary passports: current statutory Singapore visa exemption

    Singapore's current visa-exemption Order directly exempts a non-citizen holding a valid ordinary passport issued by the People's Republic of China.

    • The current Order commenced on 1 July 2026 and expressly revoked the prior Immigration (Exemption from Singapore Visa) Order (O 4).
    • The exemption is limited to a valid ordinary passport issued by the People's Republic of China. The Order's scheduled diplomatic, official, service, public-affairs and other special-document classes are not ordinary-passport rules.
    • The paragraph excludes a non-citizen already holding a valid pass that permits multiple entries into Singapore; that residence or pass-holder situation is outside the ordinary short-visitor baseline.
    • The Order does not state a permitted visit duration. Admission and the period of the electronic Visit Pass remain determined at the checkpoint, independently of visa exemption.
    • The current law changes the governing instrument rather than the displayed access result; Chinese ordinary passports were already recorded as visa-free under current Singapore mission guidance.

    Singapore citizenship access is distinct from a visa or visitor pass for non-citizens.

    ICA requires these ordinary-passport holders to obtain prior entry-visa approval, issued electronically through Singapore's visa process.
