One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

    Thailand: Thai ordinary-passport holders

Thai citizens are not foreign nationals subject to Thailand's foreign-national visa and TDAC requirement.

    • Citizenship classification only; it does not determine dual-nationality, passport issuance, exit controls, residence, work, transit, or admissibility.
    • A Thai citizen travelling on a foreign passport is outside this passport-nationality finding.

Thailand: current 60-day ordinary-passport visa exemption

The current Consular Affairs schedule gives these ordinary-passport nationalities visa-exempt admission for tourism and short-term business engagements for up to 60 days.

    • For tourism and short-term business engagements only, with a stay not exceeding 60 days.
    • The current schedule is used because it remains linked by the 31 March 2026 Consular Affairs index. The 19 May 2026 revision notice says its changes begin only 15 days after a Ministry of Interior announcement appears in the Royal Gazette; recheck before travel.
    • TDAC must be submitted by non-Thai nationals up to three days before arrival; it is an arrival declaration, not a visa or ETA.
    • Does not establish work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic/official/special-document, border-pass, extension, repeat-entry, security, or discretionary-admission rights.

Myanmar and Timor-Leste ordinary-passport holders have the listed 14-day bilateral visa-exemption route.

    • Maximum stay is 14 days.
    • For Myanmar, the schedule expressly limits the route to international airports.
    • TDAC applies to non-Thai arrivals and is not a visa or ETA.
    • No inference for work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic/official/special documents, border passes, extensions, repeat entry, or discretionary admission.

  6. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Thailand: 15-day ordinary-passport visa on arrival

The current Consular Affairs VOA schedule gives these ordinary-passport nationalities a 15-day visa-on-arrival route; entries with the concurrent 60-day exemption are classified under that easier route instead.

    • The schedule states a 15-day stay. It does not establish a nationality-wide electronic visa, ETA, or advance-visa requirement for these passports.
    • The current schedule is used because it remains linked by the 31 March 2026 Consular Affairs index. The 19 May 2026 revision notice says its changes begin only 15 days after a Ministry of Interior announcement appears in the Royal Gazette; recheck before travel.
    • Current national schedule alone does not establish ports, fees, passport-validity, accommodation, funds, onward-ticket, extension, or repeat-entry terms; verify these with Immigration before travel.
    • TDAC applies to non-Thai arrivals and is not a visa or ETA.
    • No inference for work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic/official/special documents, border passes, security, or discretionary admission.

Thailand: foreign ordinary passports eligible to apply for Thai eVisa

The MFA says foreign nationals can apply for Thai eVisa worldwide except from inside Thailand. These passports have no easier nationality-wide route established by the current schedules above.

    • Applicant must be a foreign national located outside Thailand; the worldwide statement establishes availability of the electronic application route, not guaranteed issuance or admission.
    • The portal requires an online account, application, supporting documents and payment. The competent mission may seek further documents or interview the applicant; exact visa type, purpose, document and nationality checks remain case-specific.
    • TDAC applies to non-Thai arrivals and is an arrival declaration, not a visa or ETA.
    • This ordinary-passport visitor-route classification does not establish work, residence, transit, crew, diplomatic/official/special-document, border-pass, fee, duration, port, extension, security, or discretionary-admission rights.

Current preferred 60-day waiver remains in force pending Gazette transition

Thailand's current Consular Affairs schedule continues to give these ordinary passports a 60-day exemption while the five replacement notices remain unpublished and non-operative.

    • This is the preferred current baseline for the listed valid ordinary national passports, for tourism and short-term business engagements for a stay not exceeding 60 days.
    • Thailand's 19 July government notice says all five replacement Ministry of Interior notices remain pending Royal Gazette publication and that current entry conditions remain in place until the new measures take effect.
    • The announced replacement is not current law. It must not be applied, end-dated or used for ranking until the Gazette texts are published, the stated 15-day commencement period elapses and their exact scopes are independently reviewed.
    • Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Myanmar and Timor-Leste retain separately modeled bilateral ordinary-passport routes and are not duplicated in this preferred-route policy.
    • The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains a separate arrival declaration, not a visa or ETA. Work, residence, special documents, extensions and final admission remain outside this policy.

  9. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Current 15-day arrival-visa cohort remains in force pending Gazette transition

The current Consular Affairs schedule continues to give these non-overlapping ordinary-passport nationalities a 15-day visa on arrival while the replacement notices remain unpublished.

    • The source's 31-entry arrival-visa schedule overlaps the 60-day waiver for 16 marked entries. This preferred-route policy contains only the remaining 15 ordinary-passport nationalities.
    • The current route permits a stay up to 15 days and remains in force until the replacement notices are published and their separate 15-day commencement period has elapsed.
    • The July proposal's Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia arrival-visa group is not operative. Belarus and Serbia remain in this current cohort, while Azerbaijan remains on the advance eVisa route until current law changes.
    • The Thailand Digital Arrival Card remains a separate arrival declaration, not a visa or ETA. Work, residence, special documents, extensions and final admission remain outside this policy.
