Official evidence timeline

One group agreement or destination policy can support many passport relationships. Dates are recorded only when an official source establishes them.

  1. Current official routeVisa-free

Listed ordinary passports: unlimited visa-free entry

Uzbekistan's current MFA procedure lists these bilateral ordinary-passport visa-free regimes without a stated time limit.

    • The government MFA page lists these bilateral regimes as unlimited. All-passport and purpose language is specific to the bilateral group; ordinary passports are modeled here.
    • A valid travel document and border admission remain required; stateless residents, work/residence, and special-document treatment are not inferred.
    8 passport nationalities covered

Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russian Federation, Ukraine

  2. Current official routeVisa-free

Kyrgyz ordinary passports: 60-day visa-free entry

The MFA procedure lists Kyrgyz citizens for visa-free stays of up to 60 days.

    • The current MFA list specifies up to 60 days. Longer stay requires the applicable entry visa; normal border admission remains required.
    1 passport nationalities covered

    Kyrgyzstan

  3. Current official routeVisa-free

Listed ordinary passports: 30-day visa-free entry

The current MFA procedure lists these ordinary-passport nationalities for visa-free entry up to 30 days.

    • The general 30-day regime begins upon border crossing; expiry requires departure or a suitable entry visa. The page describes travel-document and admission requirements.
    • China and Qatar also appear in the page's conditional 10-day air-ticket note. The MFA page is internally inconsistent for those two ordinary-passport routes, so this policy normalizes only visa-free status.
    • Hong Kong and Macao are expressly included in the 30-day PRC-and-SAR list. The separate 10-day note names China but does not name either SAR.
    80 passport nationalities covered

Australia, Austria, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vatican City, Luxembourg, Hungary, Brunei, Israel, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Portugal, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Cyprus, South Korea, Malta, Poland, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Chile, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Türkiye, Brazil, Germany, Finland, France, Montenegro, Czechia, Switzerland, Estonia, Japan, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Cuba, Nicaragua, Panama, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, The Bahamas, Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica, Qatar, United States, China, Hong Kong (SAR China), Macao (SAR China)

  4. Current official routeVisa-free

Bahraini, Kuwaiti and Omani ordinary passports: conditional 10-day visa-free entry

The MFA page specifically grants up to 10 visa-free days to these citizens with an onward air ticket.

    • Requires an air ticket to the home country or a third country. The MFA page does not establish work, residence, transit, diplomatic/official, or special-document treatment.
    • Passport validity, security screening, and border admission remain applicable.
    3 passport nationalities covered

    Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman

  5. Current official routeeVisa

Live official selector: listed ordinary passports' eVisa

The live official eVisa selector assigns the online 30-day eVisa route to these ordinary-passport nationalities.

    • The official selector assigns these nationalities status 1, and its official status endpoint defines status 1 as a 30-day visa with three-working-day processing. This resolves the MFA Appendix 1 ‘eVisa or simplified consular tourist visa’ ambiguity for these specific selector records.
    • The selector also labels Hong Kong status 1, but the current MFA schedule expressly puts Hong Kong in the 30-day PRC-and-SAR visa-free group; this policy therefore does not include Hong Kong.
    • Apply through the official eVisa portal using the travel document used for entry. The portal requires a passport and electronic visa at the border; a refusal remains possible under Uzbek law.
    • This policy is only for ordinary passports and does not establish work, residence, diplomatic/official, special-document, airport-issuance, or transit rights.
    43 passport nationalities covered

Albania, Algeria, Angola, Bhutan, Bolivia, Cambodia, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Fiji, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, India, Iran, Jordan, Kiribati, North Korea, Laos, Lebanon, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Micronesia, Morocco, Nauru, Nepal, North Macedonia, Palau Islands, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Samoa, Seychelles, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Thailand, Tonga, Tunisia, Uruguay, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Vietnam

  6. Current official routeVisa required

Portal-absent ordinary passports: advance consular visa

These ordinary passports are neither in the current visa-free schedules nor in the live eVisa selector, so the MFA’s advance consular-visa rule applies.

    • The MFA states that foreign citizens need an entry visa unless listed in its visa-free regimes. The official eVisa portal directs a nationality outside its simplified list to the appropriate MFA foreign institution.
    • The ordinary consular process requires advance MFA visa confirmation based on an invitation-application. Tashkent-airport issuance is not a general visa-on-arrival route: it also requires an inviting party’s advance confirmation.
    • This policy does not convert the separate five-day Uzbekistan Airways transit programme into a nationality-wide visitor status and does not cover work, residence, diplomatic/official, or special-document routes.
    59 passport nationalities covered

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoro Islands, Congo (Rep.), Congo (Dem. Rep.), Côte d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, eSwatini, Syria, Tanzania, Timor-Leste, Togo, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Palestinian Territory

  7. Current official routeVisa on arrival

Taiwan ordinary passports: named visa-on-arrival short visits

Taiwan MOFA BOCA's current outbound schedule identifies these destinations as issuing visas at arrival to Taiwanese travellers, including stated pre-clearance routes.

    • BY, IR and UZ require the schedule's stated pre-clearance before a visa is issued on arrival; online pre-clearance followed by border issuance is normalized as visa_on_arrival.
    • CI requires online registration, fee payment and an emailed approval code before the visa is issued at Abidjan airport; it is therefore arrival issuance, not an eVisa under this taxonomy.
    • LR: apply online, then present the approval QR code at Roberts International Airport for biometric collection and the visa sticker. The Liberia Immigration Service directs applicants in a country with a Liberian embassy to that mission instead.
    • This does not establish work, residence, non-visitor, transit-only, special-document, carrier, health, funds or final-admission treatment.

Saudi ordinary passports: Uzbekistan visa-free short visit

Uzbekistan's live government eVisa dataset assigns Saudi Arabia status 2, defined by the same service as visa-free entry for up to 30 days.

    • The live selector status defines a maximum visa-free stay of 30 days.
    • An official presidential statement separately confirms the introduction of visa-free entry for Saudi citizens; work, residence, special documents and final admission remain separate.
