    The current EU regulation places these nationalities in Annex I, requiring a short-stay visa at covered external borders.

    • Vanuatu has required a visa under Annex I since 3 February 2025.
    • This ordinary-passport cohort excludes Member State exceptions for diplomatic, service, official, or special passports.
    • The destinations are the 29 Schengen countries plus Cyprus; Ireland operates its own visa policy.
