Ghana: other ordinary passports — advance electronic visitor visa
For every remaining foreign catalog passport, the live official checker returns 'Visa Required' with eVisa authorization and an electronic application path. This is a true advance eVisa route, not a conclusion from online-form availability alone.
- The official checker explicitly returns eVisa authorization and an application route for this cohort; embassy processing is presented as an alternative, so the easier electronic route is normalized as eVisa.
- The official portal states tourist visits include holidays, visiting friends or family and short-term recreation up to three months. Single-entry visas are valid for 90 days from issuance; this is validity to travel, not a promise of a three-month admission period.
- The portal requires a passport valid at least six months beyond intended stay, photograph, travel details and purpose-dependent supporting documents such as invitation/business letters. Yellow-fever, fees, onward travel, accommodation, security, admissibility, port examination and any extension rules remain applicable.
- Emergency visas at entry require absence of a Ghanaian mission and advance Director authorization through a sponsor; that case-specific contingency is not a nationality-wide visa-on-arrival policy. This policy excludes work, residence, business-only, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, service and special-document routes.
