Qualifying Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents use an online entry permit

NIA provides an advance online entry-and-exit permit route for qualifying Hong Kong and Macao permanent residents.

    • The ETA label normalizes an advance online permit workflow; it is not established by the passport code alone and requires the matching permanent-resident status and documents.
    • A person born in Mainland China must supply the additional status documentation stated by NIA.
    • This does not establish British National Overseas, Portuguese-Macao, employment, family, residence, or other permit treatment.
