Registered Indonesian ePassports are visa-exempt
Indonesian nationals qualify only after registering an ICAO-compliant ePassport with a Japanese mission in Indonesia.
- The ICAO-compliant ePassport must be registered at a Japanese embassy, consulate-general, or consulate in Indonesia.
- Registration lasts three years or until the passport expires, whichever occurs first.
- The source does not establish visa-free access without the required registration.
