Irish ordinary passports: advance Turkmenistan visitor visa

Ireland's current passport-specific advice requires Irish citizens to obtain a visa and invitation, directs them to the Turkmen Embassy, and expressly excludes visa on arrival.

    • Ordinary Irish passport and short visitor travel only; passport cards cannot be used.
    • Obtain the visa and State Migration Service-approved invitation before travel through the Turkmen Embassy route identified by Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs.
    • Transit visas, restricted-area permits, local registration, dual-national treatment and final admission remain separate conditions.
