    Japan exempts Barbados, Lesotho, and Türkiye only with ICAO-compliant machine-readable passports.

    • The condition began in April 2010 for Barbados and Lesotho and April 2011 for Türkiye.
    • A traveller without the required passport is advised to obtain a visa and may otherwise be refused entry.
