Live official selector: listed ordinary passports' tourist eVisa
The current Lao eVisa selector includes these non-exempt ordinary-passport nationalities for the online tourist eVisa route.
- The portal blocks selection of its 15 is_except records; they are the older subset of the current MOFA table's ordinary-passport waiver cohort. The three later MOFA waiver codes Belarus, DPR Korea, and Timor-Leste remain visa-free rather than eVisa.
- The selector's stay_day field is not used to set waiver terms: for example, its blocked Japan record says 15 while the current MOFA waiver table says 30. The MOFA table controls the exemption policy and duration.
- India and Nepal are selector records with watchlist YES. The application code displays a watchlist acknowledgement; neither the endpoint nor the terms publishes a distinct nationality-wide visa outcome, so this policy does not infer one.
- Only ordinary passports qualify: temporary, emergency, special, and other passport types do not. The Tourist Visa T-B3 grants 30 days after arrival and the eVisa is valid 60 days after approval; the cited tourist-eVisa material does not establish work, residence, official/diplomatic, border-pass, or transit routes.
- Apply online, pay the non-refundable fee, and carry the approval letter. Use only the nine designated eVisa ports; approval does not ensure admission and immigration may refuse for insufficient funds, criminality, prior deportation, prostitution, drug, or terrorist grounds.
