Named ordinary passports: Bahamas Electronic Entry Visa visitor route
The listed nationalities require a Bahamas visa; MOFA provides the official Electronic Entry Visa application route for ordinary visitor visas, subject to its stated conditions.
- The MOFA list expressly identifies these nationalities as needing a visa. India is included only for Indian nationals outside the separately stated third-country visa or permanent-residence exception.
- An Electronic Entry Visa is not a guarantee of entry. Visa applicants need a passport with more than six months remaining, and the border officer may deny entry.
- Visa-required travellers also need a visa when arriving by cruise ship from the United States. The policy does not establish a transit or cruise exception.
- This ordinary visitor route is for leisure (self-sponsored or sponsored). Seaman’s visas are a distinct crew/trade route, and official and diplomatic visas are not available for online application.
- Single-entry validity is three months. Multiple-entry visas have separate eligibility and stated three-month, six-month, or one-year periods; the page says three-year visas are not available online.
- The ordinary visitor must apply through the official portal, complete the application, provide the stated supporting documents, pay if requested, and present the passport used to apply plus the Electronic Entry Visa on arrival.
