GCC citizens: visa-free entry using national identification

Kuwait's 2024 residency-law report says GCC citizens may enter and leave Kuwait using their national identity cards under Ministry of Interior regulations and inter-state agreements; this is normalized as visa_free rather than a resident or sponsor visa.

    • This is a GCC-citizenship right for Bahraini, Omani, Qatari, Saudi and UAE nationals. It is not an eVisa or visa-on-arrival route and does not extend to a non-GCC passport holder merely resident in a GCC state.
    • The cited report makes the national-ID entry right subject to Ministry of Interior regulations and agreements with the relevant GCC states; identity, border, security and individual-admission requirements remain applicable.
    • This ordinary-passport classification does not establish work, study, residence, family, companion, transit, crew, diplomatic, official, emergency-document or other special-case treatment.
