How this access rule is documented

  1. Current official routeVisa required

India: Pakistani ordinary passports require regular visa in advance

India's eVisa portal directs Pakistani-passport holders and persons of Pakistani origin to apply for a regular visa at an Indian mission.

    • The eVisa portal says Pakistani-passport holders and persons of Pakistani origin must apply for a regular visa at an Indian mission.
    • The current official gateway says all existing valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals, except medical, long-term, diplomatic and official visas, stood revoked immediately from 27 April 2025; medical visas were valid only until 29 April 2025. This record does not infer that a new ordinary visitor visa is presently grantable.
    • This is an advance regular/paper visa route, not eVisa or visa on arrival.
    • Purpose-specific, security, port, passport, registration, protected-area, transit, crew, residence, work, diplomatic/official-document, and admissibility conditions remain applicable.
