    Thailand, Brunei, and Philippines ordinary passports have a temporary 14-day visa exemption

    BOCA's current trial permits qualifying ordinary-passport short visits of up to 14 days through 31 July 2027.

    • The trial excludes diplomatic and official or service passports; a Brunei Certificate of Identity is a separate document-specific exception.
    • Visitors need the stated accommodation, host or sponsor, and funds evidence; crew or service personnel reporting for duty are ineligible.
    • Passport-validity, onward-travel, admissibility, departure, non-conversion, purpose, and Taiwan Arrival Card rules remain applicable.
