INM-listed ordinary passports: visitor visa exemption
The listed nationalities may seek admission as visitors without permission to undertake remunerated activities without obtaining a Mexican visa in advance.
- This policy is for a visitor without permission to undertake remunerated activities, including tourism; it does not grant residence, work authorization, or a right to admission.
- INM may verify passport or internationally valid identity-and-travel document, travel purpose, accommodation or itinerary, means of subsistence, departure transport, and other relevant information at migration review.
- The visitor period is not a guaranteed 180 days: INM authorizes the period at entry, and the visa-required guidance says the non-resident visitor route may not exceed 180 days.
- For a land entry, INM requires the applicable completed FMM; international-airport FMM handling is generated through migration control.
- This normalization is limited to ordinary national passports. It does not establish rules for residence cards, diplomatic or official documents, refugees, stateless persons, alien travel documents, or other special documents.
