    Russia MFA’s current passport-type table records that a Russian ordinary passport requires a visa for Turkmenistan; the cited bilateral agreement is limited to the listed visa-free passport class.

    • This maps only ordinary passports for a short visitor purpose. It excludes diplomatic/service passports, residence/document exemptions, work, transit and individual admission decisions.
    • Turkmenistan’s current law provides that visa/eVisa is unnecessary where its international treaties provide a waiver; the Russian MFA table identifies the ordinary Russian passport as requiring a visa.
    • Visa issuance and final admission remain subject to the competent Turkmen authorities and required documents.
