Listed ordinary passports require an eTA for air travel
These nationalities need an eTA rather than a visitor visa to board a flight to or transit through Canada.
- The traveller needs a valid passport and eTA for air travel or airport transit; approval does not guarantee entry.
- An eTA is generally not needed for land or sea arrival, though a valid passport remains required.
- Nationality-specific document qualifiers and status-based exceptions are modelled separately or remain outside nationality mapping.
