Türkiye ordinary passport: visa required for Turkmenistan

Türkiye's current Foreign Ministry country notice directly states that ordinary Turkish passport holders are subject to a Turkmenistan visa requirement. The Turkmen Migration Law supplies the destination's visa baseline while preserving treaty exceptions.

    • This policy concerns a Turkish ordinary passport travelling for a short visitor purpose. It does not establish a visa-free, eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival route.
    • The separately described 30-day waiver is for service, special and diplomatic passports and requires the stated approval or invitation; it does not alter the ordinary-passport baseline.
    • Turkmenistan's law provides that foreign entry is visa-based unless an international treaty provides otherwise. Visa issuance, invitation, passport, purpose, registration and final-admission conditions remain applicable.
