Visa-exempt French-access ordinary passports: visa-free short visit to Monaco

For a short visit, Monaco applies the same foreigner entry and circulation regime as France. These ordinary passports are visa-exempt for the French access leg under Annex II or equivalent free-movement arrangements and therefore have a visa-free visitor route to Monaco.

    • This is a Monaco visit of under three months; the French/Schengen access leg is limited to no more than 90 days in any 180-day period.
    • Biometric passports are required for AL, BA, GE, MD, ME, MK, RS, UA and XK. Taiwan requires an identity-card number in the passport; HK and MO require their named SAR passports.
    • CH, IS, LI and NO follow equivalent free-movement treatment for the French access leg. Residence permits, refugee/stateless documents, border permits, school groups, paid activity, crew and special passports are not normalized into this ordinary-passport baseline.
    • No current source establishes a separate nationality-wide Monaco visitor visa rule for minors. A Monaco circulation document for a minor resident is a residence document, not a visitor-access rule.
    • ETIAS is not operating on the research date. No separate Monegasque eVisa, ETA or visa-on-arrival route is established by the reviewed official sources.
