    Full British citizen passport: Turkmenistan sponsored visa on arrival

    FCDO says a full British citizen passport holder may purchase a Turkmenistan visa on arrival after obtaining a letter of invitation.

    • A letter of invitation is mandatory before travel; for tourist visits, authorised travel agents can provide it.
    • The stated arrival route is at Ashgabat International Airport and some land borders, with current land-border details to be checked with the sponsor. It does not normalize transit visas, work, purpose, sponsor, entry point or final-admission conditions.
