Australia, Canada, and United States ordinary passports: electronic VIVIS
Australia, Canada, and United States nationals require a Brazilian visitor visa from 10 April 2025 but may obtain the nationally described electronic visitor visa.
- The MRE source describes this as a visitor visa (VIVIS), not visa-free entry; it is valid only for the visitor purposes and periods the visa grants.
- The electronic route is expressly described by MRE for these three nationalities. Generic online consular processing for other nationalities is not normalized as eVisa.
- This policy is limited to ordinary national passports and does not establish a rule for diplomatic, official, service, emergency, refugee, alien, or other special travel documents.
- A visitor visa does not establish residence or permission for paid employment; entry and admission remain subject to Brazilian immigration control.
